The Cardinals are overhauling the culinary experience at State Farm Stadium.
Jeremy Walls, the team's chief operating officer, introduced more than 50 new food items coming to Cardinals games this season, as the organization aims to reset and improve all aspects of gameday.
"On the football side but also on the business side, we are innovating and we are really focused on the fan experience," Walls said. "You will hear over the next several weeks about a lot of changes we are making to State Farm Stadium that will be exciting, but (Tuesday) is really about food."
In surveys with season-ticket members, the team was told fans want more variety in food options, more local presence, and for some, healthier options. The Cardinals have tried to address that by adding seven local brands to the four that already had spots in the stadium.
New vendors include Spinato's Pizzeria, Amelia's by EAT, Barrio Queen, Kaizen, and Scoopwell's Dough Bar. Returning brands include Cold Beer And Cheeseburgers, Honey Bears BBQ, Lolo's Tacos, and Pork on a Fork.
"Our fans love your traditional fare, but they like variety because they come to the stadium a lot, and we are making sure we represent the Valley," Walls said.
Walls added that the in-house food options will also be rebranded for a new, cleaner look when the regular season begins.
Some of the new items introduced include:
- Chicken and Waffle Sandwich: Crispy Fried Chicken topped with Maple Chive Butter; Honey Hot Pimento Cheese Bites (Creamy Pimento Cheese Breaded and Deep-Fried then doused in Hot Honey Sauce) and a Fried Pickle served between two Golden Brown Waffles.
- Flaming Hot Cheeto Chicken Tenders: Crispy Chicken Tenders Coated in Tostitos Nacho Cheese Sauce and Crushed Flaming Hot Cheetos served with Freshly Sliced Dill Pickles.
- Nutty Asian Salad: Fresh Napa Cabbage, Kale, Red Cabbage, Carrots, Edamame, Cucumber, Mandarin Oranges; Cashews and Fried Rice Noodles served with Sesame Ginger Dressing with an option to add Grilled Chicken Breast.
- Meatball Hoagie on a Stick: Two Large Meatballs intertwined with Hoagie Dough; topped with freshly grated Parmesan Cheese served with Marinara Sauce.
- Vegan Vegetable Summer Rolls: Seasonal Crisp Vegetables; Basil and Rice Noodles wrapped in Rice Paper served with Sweet Thai Chili Sauce.
- Macho Nachos: Nachos loaded with Ground Beef; Salsa; Cheese; Sour Cream; Black Olives; Guacamole and Jalapeños piled high in a Souvenir Cardinals Football Bowl.
- Cotton Candy Burrito: Cotton Candy Flavored Ice Cream topped with Fruity Pebbles; Froot Loops; Marshmallows; Skittles; Mini M&M's; Gummy Bears and Sprinkles all wrapped in a Melt-in-your-Mouth Cotton Candy Shell.
- Vegan Pizza: Cauliflower Crust smothered in Cilantro Onion Pesto Sauce topped with Vegan Cheese; Vegan Cream; Pickled Red Onions and Smoked Jackfruit Birria.
- Vienna Beef Jalapeno Cheddar Dog-a-Dilla: Juicy Vienna Beef Jalapeno Cheddar Sausage topped with Sharp Cheddar Cheese; Crema and Scallions rolled inside a Pressed Tortilla.
- Vegan Buffalo Cauliflower Bites: Bite-Sized Chunks of Fresh Cauliflower doused in Tangy Buffalo Sauce served with Zesty Vegan Chipotle Aioli.
- Vienna Beef Jalapeño Baked Pretzel Dog: Juicy Vienna Beef Jalapeño Cheddar Sausage wrapped in Ben's Pretzels Dough.
- Red Chili Parmesan Chicken Tenders: Crispy Chicken Tenders Coated in Red Chili Parmesan Garlic Sauce.
