PVSchools proudly celebrates Jill Barragan, the Assistant Superintendent of Business Operations, for being named a 2024 Distinguished Eagle Award recipient by the Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO). This award is the highest honor in school business and is presented to business officials who make outstanding and unique contributions to their district and profession.

Ms. Barragan is greatly respected and admired by her colleagues and earned this accolade because of her integrity, professionalism, and mentorship. She fosters a culture of trust, collaboration, and continuous improvement within PVSchools. Furthermore, Barragan invests in her staff, advocates for equitable funding, and is a member of the Arizona ASBO (AASBO) Women's Executive Leadership Development Series, which empowers and equips women with skills, knowledge, and self-advocacy so that they can thrive in executive positions.

Outside of work, Barragan is heavily involved in her community and advocates for education. Whether serving as a board member or working with the Maricopa County Education Service Agency, her aim is to improve the state of education for students, families, and colleagues alike.
