PVSchools has announced that several current and former students are participating in this season's "The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps." This organization is a member of Drum Corps International (DCI), a national marching band association. "The Academy" is the only competitive marching band organization of its kind in Arizona.

High school and college-aged students audition to join this summer travel competitive marching ensemble, which features advanced equipment and experienced musical directors. Participants compete with similar corps from across the United States, traveling by bus and staying in community gyms as they visit various cities for performances. The season runs from May through August, concluding in Indianapolis, Indiana, at Lucas Oil Stadium for the finals on August 10.

"Best of luck to these students on their continued journeys of excellence!"
