Maricopa County Seeks Applicants for Highland Justice Precinct Constable Position

The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors is seeking applicants for appointment to the position of Highland Justice Precinct Constable. Luke Palmer, who previously held the position, resigned effective February 27th, 2024.

"The vacancy will be filled by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. By law, the appointee must be a Republican, like Palmer, live in the Highland Justice Precinct, and be a registered Arizona voter. The appointee will fill the position through the remainder of the term," stated the announcement.

The Highland Justice Precinct covers the Gilbert area in Supervisorial District 1 and part of Supervisorial District 2. Constables in this role execute, serve, and return processes, warrants, and notices, as well as attend justice courts when required.

Interested individuals can apply by sending their letters of interest along with a resume to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors by email at clerkboard@maricopa.gov or by direct mail to Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, 301 W. Jefferson, Phoenix, AZ 85003 (10th floor). Applications will be accepted until March 14th at 5pm, and all documents filed with the Clerk's Office will become public records. Applicants are also subject to a background check.
