Join in the fun and test your technology skills at Pueblo Grande Museum's Annual Ancient Technology Day on Saturday March 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Demonstrators will be showing technologies used by first people to thrive in a desert environment. Learn about skills such as flintknapping (making arrowheads),constructing pottery, shell jewelry production, fire making, and more! Experts in historic technologies will demonstrate skills from the early European settlers such as lace making and adobe brick making! Learn fun facts about the desert environment and try your hand at throwing a spear with an atlatl or using a replica archery bow to shoot an arrow.
Ancient Technology Day: Prehistoric & Historic, an official Arizona SciTech Festival event, highlights technologies to provide our guests with a more complete understanding of Arizona's history and its environment. In addition to hands-on demonstrations, families can enjoy free craft activities and artifact show-and-tell stations. Enjoy an experience that is fun for the whole family!
