The No. 1 ranked Phoenix College Bear's men's soccer team will face Glendale in the Region 1 Division 2 semi-final game on Tuesday, October 25 at 6:00 pm at Hoy Stadium.
The Bears (12-1-1) clinched the number one seed finishing the regular season with a 3-1 win over GCC. The Bears scored 49 goals in the last 6 games and only let one goal slip past the goal line from their opponents resulting in a six game win streak to conclude the season. With their shut-out (5-0) win over Yavapai, the Bears look to keep the momentum going into the post season. The Bears have a deep 19 player rotation lineup that is led by Zimmerman and Gonzales. They look to make a deep run into conference and nationals in the coming weeks.
Coach Vlastimir Davidovic "We are strong physically and emotionally. We are playing our best soccer at the moment [and we are] going into the playoffs in the most crucial part of the season as the best we have looked all year"
The Bears were the 2021 Region I Division II Champions and are looking for a back-to-back title win.
