Having earned two of his own degrees online, Greg F. knows how hard it can be to balance family, work, and school. “I make my classrooms as friendly as possible, and I provide lots of resources, including videos and example documents. These are the things I wish were made available to me when I was a student.”
In addition to empathy and understanding, he brings more than 30 years of nursing experience to UOPX. “I’ve worked in a wide variety of settings, and I’ve been in leadership roles for most of my nursing career. I know the challenges that frontline caregivers are facing, particularly in the age of COVID.”

• Works as a Nurse Director for the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) - Correctional Managed Care (CMC) where he oversees 10 nurse managers and 260+ nursing FTEs.
• Is board-certified as a Nurse Executive Advanced (NEA-BC) and a Public Health Nurse (PHN) and is Certified in Corrections Nurse Management.
• Was elected president of the Texas Nurses Association District 12 for two terms and is a current member.
