According to multiple reports, Dallas Mavericks fans allegedly harassed family members of Phoenix Suns guard Chris Paul during Game 4 of the NBA Western Conference Semifinals.

Paul referenced the incident in a tweet he posted May 8, after the Mavericks defeated the Suns 111-101 at the American Airlines Center.

“Wanna fine players for saying stuff to the fans, but the fans can put they hands on our families. F---that!” he said.

ESPN’s Dave McMenamin followed Paul’s tweet shortly thereafter, confirming Paul’s accusation

“A source familiar with Chris Paul's tweet after Game 4 told ESPN that Paul's mother had hands put on her by Dallas fans and Paul's wife was also pushed,” he tweeted. “To make matters worse, Paul's kids witnessed it. ‘They felt very unsafe,’ the source said.”

In another Twitter post, Dallas Texas TV posted a video of American Airlines Center security staff escorting a young male fan and a woman from their seats behind the Suns bench. In the video, Paul can be seen shouting “I’ll see you later,” at the fan.

Replying to McMenamin’s tweet, NBA writer Marc Stein also confirmed the incident, posting a quote from the Dallas team: “Statement from the Mavs after Game 4: ‘The Dallas Mavericks are aware of an incident between a fan and the family of Chris Paul. It was unacceptable behavior and will not be tolerated. The Mavericks, along with American Airlines Center, swiftly removed the fan from today’s game.’”
