Phoenix Police Department issued the following announcement on July 26.
Officer Carl Wunsch has earned the "Outstanding Service Award" from the Phoenix Police Foundation for his work in the community.
Wunsch heads the basketball program of the Police Activities League ( PAL Basketball ), and has helped many of his players receive scholarship offers to play in college. Without the help of Wunsch and the Phoenix Police Foundation, these players wouldn't get the amount of exposure necessary for the opportunity to play at the next level. Congratulations Carl!
