73 percent of applicants to Grand Canyon University were admitted for fall 2018

At Grand Canyon University, 58 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 71 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private for-profit institution in Phoenix enrolled 90,253 students in fall 2018, including 54,139 in undergraduate and 36,114 in graduate programs, data shows. 24.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

29 percent of undergraduates are residents of Arizona, and 71 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (47 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (20 percent).

The school admitted 73 percent of the 31,958 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 17 percent enrolled.
