Republic Services, Inc. has been recognized as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies for the seventh time by Ethisphere, an organization that sets standards for ethical business practices. The company is among 136 firms from 19 countries and 44 industries to receive this honor in 2025.

"This recognition highlights the commitment of our 42,000 employees throughout North America to act ethically and responsibly every day," stated Jon Vander Ark, president and chief executive officer. "We deliver results the right way as we partner with customers to create a more sustainable world."

The assessment for this recognition is based on Ethisphere's Ethics Quotient, which requires companies to submit over 240 proof points regarding their ethics and compliance practices, governance, culture of ethics, environmental and social impact, and value chain initiatives. This data undergoes qualitative analysis by experts who spend significant time evaluating each applicant.
