Trey McBride has become known for his unique approach on the field, particularly his tendency to hurdle over defenders. In a recent game against the 49ers, McBride attempted to leap over defensive back Ji'Ayir Brown. Despite Brown not going low, McBride managed to complete the move.

Reflecting on the play, McBride expressed surprise at his success. "When I landed back on my feet I was shocked and excited," he stated. However, he acknowledged that this maneuver might not always be worth the risk. "I think (defenders) are catching on and the risk versus reward is not always there."

The spectacle of McBride's hurdles has caught public attention, including that of Kyle Brandt from "Good Morning Football." Brandt had previously nominated one of McBride's hurdles for an "Angry Runs" award, though it did not win at that time. In Week 18, however, McBride secured the honor along with the accompanying scepter.

Brandt enthusiastically praised McBride's performance: "Give me Trey McBride doing nasty things like he's done all year long!" He also remarked on McBride's suitability for the award by saying, "You were born to wield this scepter."
