As the Arizona Cardinals prepare for their final game of the season, several key narratives have emerged. Budda Baker has secured a contract extension and another Pro Bowl selection, while his fellow safety Jalen Thompson has had a quieter year. Coach Jonathan Gannon expressed confidence in Thompson's abilities despite fewer turnovers this season.

"He had a couple more takeaways (in 2023) and I feel like he's had less opportunities this year," Gannon stated. "I would like to see him take away the ball a little bit better."

Thompson remains committed to his role, emphasizing his versatility on the field. "I consider myself the complete DB," he said.

Tight ends George Kittle and Trey McBride will face off as the Cardinals host the San Francisco 49ers. McBride could potentially tie NFL records with another strong performance but remains focused on playing each game as it comes.

"I never have and I never will," McBride said about chasing records.

McBride was pleased with scoring his first receiving touchdown, adding to his contributions this season.

Chad Ryland's success as a kicker has been noteworthy, accumulating 99 points in just 12 games and earning him a Pro Bowl alternate spot after a challenging rookie year.

Quarterbacks Kyler Murray and Joshua Dobbs are set to meet again on opposite sides of the field. With Brock Purdy injured, Dobbs will lead the 49ers against his former team.

"You take in everything that you can to help win the game," defensive coordinator Nick Rallis commented regarding facing Dobbs.

Rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall is coming off an impressive performance with eight catches for 141 yards and a touchdown last week. The team's first-round picks Marvin Harrison Jr. and Darius Robinson also aim to finish strong despite recent challenges.

Former Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury reflected on lessons learned during his tenure when asked about future head coaching aspirations. "I don't think I set a foundation the way I would do it," Kingsbury admitted.
