Abrazo Central Campus, a longstanding healthcare institution in north central Phoenix, has adapted to changing community needs and advancements in medical technology over the past 60 years. The hospital is known for its life-saving care and serves as an integral part of the local community.

The hospital maintains its connection with the community through active participation, particularly with nearby schools. Hospital staff engage with students by discussing careers in healthcare and contributing to educational activities.

Nurses from Abrazo Central Campus conduct Teddy Bear Clinics at Maryland Elementary School for kindergarten and first-grade students. These sessions teach children basic first aid, how to call 911, household safety, and provide hands-on practice.

In celebration of its 60th anniversary, Abrazo Central Campus has also inaugurated a new community art gallery. This gallery features rotating exhibits of student artwork from Washington High School, fostering collaboration between the hospital and the school.

"As the longtime community hospital in north central Phoenix, we strive to have meaningful relationships with our neighbors and support education," said Abrazo Central Campus CEO Greg Pearson. "We look forward to enjoying the art in this gallery for many years to come."

The hospital's commitment extends beyond patient care; it includes a focus on education through its Family Medicine Residency Program established in 1978. Many doctors who trained at Abrazo Central have become physician leaders within the greater Phoenix area.
