Every day is Mother’s Day at the Labor & Delivery and Neonatal Intensive Care Units of Abrazo Arrowhead Campus. The hospital sees more than 3,500 births annually, including multiple births such as triplets.

The Labor & Delivery team engages in creating special onesies to celebrate holidays and events. Recently, newborns received Arizona Diamondbacks onesies for the team's participation in the 2023 World Series and NCAA Final Four held in Glendale.

Stephen Garner, CEO of Abrazo Arrowhead Campus, highlighted the significance of women’s and infants care at the hospital. “We love to see all of the beautiful Abrazo Arrowhead babies, and the onesies are fun for the families and staff to celebrate special occasions,” he said.

Abrazo Arrowhead has expanded its NICU and achieved a Level IIIB designation for handling complex maternal and neonatal conditions.

Prepared Childbirth Classes are offered by Abrazo Arrowhead Campus to help expectant parents navigate the birthing experience. The classes include an in-person tour of relevant units and cover various topics related to pregnancy and childbirth.

“In addition, the class covers information about the hospital admission process, recovery period for mom and baby, newborn procedures after birth, newborn appearance, choosing a pediatrician, post-partum care,” added Stone.
