Jonathan Gannon, along with Drew Petzing and Nick Rallis, will face the Minnesota Vikings this weekend in a regular-season game. This marks their first official return to Minnesota as opponents after previously visiting for joint practices and a preseason game last year.

Gannon, who spent four years on the Vikings' staff, expressed no special sentiment about the upcoming match. He acknowledged his time there, noting it was the longest tenure he has had with any team. During his stint, he worked alongside Petzing but left just as Rallis joined.

Rallis, originally from Minnesota and an alumnus of the University of Minnesota, credited the Vikings for giving him his start in the NFL. "I owe them a lot," he said. He also recalled how Petzing helped him adjust when he first arrived at the team.

Petzing spent six seasons with the Vikings during overlapping periods with both Gannon and Rallis. While he appreciates returning to Minnesota, he emphasized that once the game begins, his focus shifts entirely to coaching.

"Our love of the game, that's where it was fostered," Petzing remarked about their shared history with the Vikings.

Gannon noted that many on their team have played at U.S. Bank Stadium before and will be eager to return. However, he emphasized that they are focused on moving forward in their current season: "It's round 12."
