PVSchools students earn College Board national recognition awards

Anne Greenberg, Governing Board President | Paradise Valley Unified School District

Twelve students from PVSchools have been recognized by the College Board National Recognition Programs for their academic achievements. These programs aim to honor underrepresented students, providing them with accolades that can be included in college and scholarship applications.

The College Board National Recognition Programs acknowledge students across five categories: National African American Recognition Award, National Hispanic Recognition Award, National Indigenous Recognition Award, National First-Generation Recognition Award, and National Rural and Small Town Recognition Award.

The following PVSchools students have received recognition:

For the National Hispanic Recognition Award:

- Thane Hildebrand from Pinnacle

- Sarah Lopez from North Canyon

- Abigail Polk from Horizon

- Thomas Stetcher from Pinnacle

- Victoria Stewart from Horizon

- Benjamin Trujillo from Shadow Mountain

For the National African American Recognition Award:

- Amara Ellisor from Horizon

- Nile Soloman from Paradise Valley

For the National First-Generation Recognition Award:

- Sarah Lopez from North Canyon

- Piotr Jandura from Paradise Valley

- Eva Nikolov from Pinnacle

- Thomas Stetcher from Pinnacle

These awards highlight the accomplishments of these students within their respective categories.
