Starling Thomas V made a crucial defensive play during the Cardinals' game against the Chargers, preventing a touchdown early in the first quarter. "It was really just a never-give-up-on-the-play type of deal," Thomas stated. The Cardinals went on to win 17-15 at State Farm Stadium, with their defense setting the tone for the night.

The Cardinals limited Jim Harbaugh's Chargers to 59 rushing yards, addressing pre-game discussions about the physicality of the Chargers' offense. Defensive lineman Naquan Jones emphasized this achievement: "We've all been hearing that all week, so (stopping the run) was the main emphasis."

This victory marked the first time since October 2021 that the Cardinals kept an opponent out of the end zone. Linebacker Kyzir White noted, "It says a lot about this defense."

Several players had standout performances. Jones, Ben Stille, and Dante Stills each recorded sacks. Both Jones and Stille were recently re-signed after initially not making the roster. Jones remarked on their collective effort: "We all lean on each other, it's not just an individual effort."

Thomas acknowledged previous struggles but expressed optimism about future growth: "This is going to give the team a whole lot of confidence... I think the sky's the limit for us."
