The Arizona Cardinals are gearing up for their upcoming game against the Los Angeles Rams, focusing on generating more offensive output from tight end Trey McBride. Despite a team-high nine targets in their recent match against Buffalo, McBride only completed five passes for 30 yards.

McBride downplayed any notion that he should have received more passes. "Not that at all," he said. "Kyler is going through his reads. The ball has to go where the coverage dictates." Head Coach Jonathan Gannon praised McBride's consistency both on and off the field, indicating his growing importance to the team.

Home-field advantage at State Farm Stadium has historically been significant for the Cardinals, and finding their groove there could be crucial against the Rams. The last time they defeated the Rams at home was in 2014.

The Rams will be without Puka Nacua but still have Cooper Kupp, who had 14 catches in their opener against Detroit. Safety Budda Baker noted Kupp’s frequent motioning as a challenge for press coverage.

Cardinals running back Trey Benson and edge rusher Jared Verse share a competitive history from their time as roommates at Florida State. Benson hopes to make an impact this week after limited playtime in the previous game.

Rams running back Kyren Williams was outstanding last season but struggled in his recent game against Detroit. His performance will be critical on Sunday.

Coach Gannon has reinstated the Tillman jersey honor for standout scout team players, with Michael Carter earning it this week. Outside linebacker Julian Okwara might see action as the Cardinals look to bolster their pass rush.

Running backs coach Autry Denson will miss Sunday's game due to a family matter, with Spencer Whipple stepping in temporarily.

Left tackle Paris Johnson Jr. expressed optimism about improving offensive line performance following mixed results in Buffalo.

The Cardinals will don their all-red uniforms for Sunday's game.
