Crest Computer Science teacher Bhawna Verma of Paradise Valley High School has been selected to join the Amazon Future Engineer Teacher Ambassador program.
This program offers STEM educators a two-year fellowship experience. During this period, participants will engage in community listening, pilot differentiated strategies for teaching computer science (CS), and share their insights and experiences to increase access to computer science and STEM education for all students.
Verma is now part of a cohort of nearly 100 educators nationwide, chosen through a highly selective and competitive process.
PVSchools expressed pride in Ms. Verma's achievement, stating: "PVSchools wants to celebrate Ms. Verma and is proud she is a part of this program."
The school district encourages staff development by supporting ongoing education and professional growth opportunities.
