The Cardinals report to training camp on Tuesday. Significant changes have occurred since the arrival of Jonathan Gannon and Monti Ossenfort, but questions remain as the team approaches the 2024 season.

One key question is the potential performance of quarterback Kyler Murray. "In the first half of 2021, Kyler Murray, deservedly, was in the middle of the NFL MVP conversation," noted an analyst. Following a torn ACL and missing half of last year, Murray has had a full offseason to prepare. The offensive personnel is strong, and Murray has developed a good rapport with his coach and teammates.

Another area of interest is rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.'s impact. Comparisons are being made to past rookies like Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin. Regardless of his numbers, Harrison is expected to play a significant role in creating opportunities for other players such as Trey McBride and Michael Wilson.

The offensive line's configuration also poses questions. Paris Johnson Jr.'s move to left tackle highlights this issue. The left guard position remains uncertain, with free agent Evan Brown and rookie Isaiah Adams among those vying for the spot.

Defensive backfield decisions will be crucial as well. Sean Murphy-Bunting is expected to play immediately, but there are several contenders for playing time including Max Melton, Garrett Williams, Elijah Jones, Kei'Trel Clark, and Starling Thomas V.

Darius Robinson's role on the defensive line will be closely watched. As a first-round pick capable of generating an interior pass rush, Robinson’s integration with other linemen like Justin Jones and Bilal Nichols will be important.

The running back room aims to elevate its performance further. James Conner had his first 1,000-yard season despite missing four games. New addition Trey Benson could enhance an already effective rushing game.

Linebacker BJ Ojulari's development as a pass rusher is another focal point. Despite not adding new pass rushers in free agency or early in the draft, Ojulari’s potential remains high following injuries last season.

Tight end dynamics will also be scrutinized. Trey McBride is emerging as a star while Tip Reiman offers strong blocking skills that align with Drew Petzing’s preference for multiple tight ends.

Kyzir White and Mack Wilson Sr.’s contributions at linebacker are anticipated under Nick Rallis' defense scheme. Both players fit well into Jonathan Gannon’s system due to their team-first mentality and versatility.

Lastly, Budda Baker's ability to make impactful plays again will be critical. Despite being a Pro Bowler last season without interceptions or passes defensed, improvements around him could increase his opportunities for splash plays.
