Rodney Roy Beck died June 23, 2007

Rodney Roy Beck, known as "Shooter," died on June 23, 2007, in Phoenix, Arizona. Beck was a professional baseball relief pitcher in Major League Baseball. He played for the San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs, and Boston Red Sox. During his career, he accumulated 286 saves and was a three-time All-Star. After retiring from baseball, Beck moved to Phoenix, where he remained active in the local baseball community, mentoring young players and participating in events.
