Abe Hamadeh, Arizona Attorney General nominee, encouraged Republicans to support former President Donald Trump in the wake of his fourth indictment.

"It’s simple. Our country will not survive this continuous assault on the rule of law," Hamadeh said in an Aug. 14 post on X, formerly Twitter. "Any suggestion that the party needs to abandon Trump to make it all go away would only reward the Democrats destructive behavior. It’s time for Republicans to unite behind President Trump."

Trump is facing his fourth indictment, this instance in Georgia, according to the Washington Post. He stands accused of allegedly orchestrating an effort to overturn President Joe Biden's 2020 victory in the state, facing a total of 13 counts that include "conspiring to commit forgery in the first degree" and "conspiring to file false documents."

The indictment is the culmination of an investigation, which took more than two years, conducted by Fulton County District Attorney Fani T. Willis. Additionally, 18 others have been charged, including Trump's attorney, Rudy Giuliani, and his former White House chief of staff, Mark Meadows, according to the Washington Post.

Just a few weeks ago, Trump faced his third indictment, which resulted from his alleged connection to the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, following the 2020 election outcome. Trump continues to claim his innocence, while his supporters argue the indictments are an attempt to obstruct his potential return to the presidency. Earlier this year, Trump was also indicted for falsifying business records and for mishandling sensitive documents, according to PBS News.

"If we had a dollar for every witch-hunt they've thrown at President Trump, we might have enough money to bribe @JoeBiden into actually working for We The people," Kari Lake on X. "That's the real reason they hate Trump. His love for America doesn't come with a price tag. He can't be bought."
