Description:
Join the Valley Young Professionals on September 29th for a volunteer opportunity with Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels, a nonprofit, support and educational organization founded in 2012 in celebration of Amanda Hope’s life.
During her three-year fight with leukemia and nine-month battle with a brain tumor, Amanda Hope dreamed that one day she would design a fun clothing line for kids just like her that would provide comfort and dignity during chemo treatments. Amanda's life ended all too soon but her dream lives on through the Comfycozy's for Chemo apparel and her legacy continues with the expansion of programs and services.
As a volunteer, you will hear an inspiring presentation about Amanda’s story and how the organization is working to innovate the childhood cancer care process in her memory. You will then lend a hand by helping make wonderful goodies for little cancer warriors during their journey including chemo covers to hide the medicine in their IV pole and craft kits that will all be delivered to the hospital with a personalized note.
Make a positive impact in our community while making new connections with other young professionals! Space is limited, so register to reserve your spot today!
Optional $5 donation helps offset the costs of craft activity materials.
