Cost of college went up for all students at Arizona State University-Downtown Phoenix

In-state tuition and fees rose 0.3 percent for 2018-19 at Arizona State University-Downtown Phoenix, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Arizona residents paid $10,822 to attend the four-year public institution this year – $30 more than the $10,792 charged for 2017-18.

Non-residents paid 161.8 percent more than residents this year, or $28,336. Their price tag grew 3.5 percent from $27,372 in 2017-18.

About 63 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Arizona residents. About 36 percent are residents of other states and 1 percent are citizens of other countries.

Data shows 97 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 1,210 students received grants or scholarships totaling $15.3 million and 526 students took out student loans totaling more than $3.5 million.

Including all undergraduates (11,584), 7,029 students used grants or scholarships totaling $70.2 million, and 4,319 students took out $28.6 million in federal student loans.
