Eddie Cook Maricopa County Assessor | Maricopa County
Maricopa County officials have scheduled a second round of public outreach meetings to gather community input for the Framework 2040 Maricopa County Comprehensive Plan. This initiative aims to direct the development of both natural and built environments in the county, focusing on sustainability and improvements in living standards, particularly for those in unincorporated areas.
The plan will tackle essential topics such as land use, transportation, parks and open spaces, water, energy, the economy, and the environment. It will encapsulate community values and serve as a decision-making guide for county authorities over the next decade and beyond.
Residents can participate in meetings scheduled from April 24th through May 9th, both in-person and online. Adjustments have been made to ensure broad accessibility for various community members. Sessions will allow attendees to review summarized feedback collected thus far and engage in activities designed to integrate that feedback into the draft plan.
County authorities encourage all residents in unincorporated Maricopa County to join the discussions, ensuring community perspectives are accurately reflected in the final plan. Additional information, including detailed schedules and participation instructions, is accessible at www.framework2040.com.
The virtual meeting is set for April 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM. In-person events will be held at various locations, including:
- Arizona College Prep High School in Chandler on May 5, 2025
- Fremont Junior High School in Mesa on April 30, 2025,
- Anthem Civic Building in Anthem on April 28, 2025
- Sundial Recreation Center in Sun City on May 9, 2025, and
- Betty H. Fairfax High School in Laveen Village on May 6, 2025.
