Ruben Gallego, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona's 3rd district since 2015, shared his views on healthcare, social security, and border security through a series of tweets. These statements reflect his stance on current political issues affecting Arizona and the nation.

On March 3, 2025, Gallego addressed potential Republican cuts to Medicaid in Arizona by stating that he spent the weekend discussing the matter with healthcare organizations in Phoenix. He emphasized the severe consequences such cuts could have for families and providers in the state: "The results would be disastrous. We’re doing everything we can to fight back."

Later that day, Gallego commented on Elon Musk's statement regarding Social Security: "Elon Musk said OUT LOUD that Social Security is a Ponzi scheme. These people aren’t serious about protecting your benefits." He contrasted this view with his own commitment to securing benefits for public servants through legislation: "I am. That’s why I passed the Social Security Fairness Act to make sure teachers, firefighters, and police officers get the benefits they EARNED."

In another tweet posted on March 3, Gallego discussed border security measures in Arizona. While acknowledging support for efforts to secure borders and combat drug trafficking, he expressed skepticism about deploying troops as a solution: "Border Patrol agents need resources, not troops doing their jobs for them." He described military deployment as an insufficient response to complex issues like fentanyl smuggling.
