On February 14, 2025, he highlighted the work of the Shadow Wolves and a bill aimed at ensuring their fair treatment while enhancing cooperation between the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Tribal communities. Later that day, he praised Pastor Terry Mackey for his leadership at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. The following day, Gallego announced an interview with The New York Times.

On February 14, 2025, Ruben Gallego tweeted about the Shadow Wolves' role in combating human trafficking and drug cartels. He stated: "The Shadow Wolves are some of the most badass people fighting human trafficking and drug cartels." He emphasized a bill designed to ensure fair treatment for them, improve recruitment efforts for top talent, and strengthen relationships between DHS and Tribal communities.

Later on February 14, Gallego acknowledged Pastor Terry Mackey's contributions beyond religious duties through his leadership at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. In his tweet, he said: "Pastor Terry Mackey is a leader whose impact extends far beyond the pulpit." He noted how Mackey uplifts communities as an example of faith in action.

On February 15, Gallego shared news of an interview with The New York Times where he engaged in candid discussions. He encouraged followers to listen by tweeting: "Out now! I sat down with @nytimes and didn’t hold back."
