Darius Robinson, a rookie with the Arizona Cardinals, is gaining attention not only for his performance on the field but also for his detailed understanding of the game. Known for his analytical approach, Robinson often engages in deep discussions about football strategies and techniques with head coach Jonathan Gannon.

"JG, he'll actually listen to me," Robinson shared. "I'll just be ranting, telling him about stuff that I like or didn't like in my game, and he could tell I'm really locked in."

Robinson's journey in the NFL began with high expectations from himself. Reflecting on his debut against the Vikings, he said, "I'm my own hardest critic, honestly, because I just have high expectations." Despite a challenging start without a tackle in his first game, Robinson has shown progress. He achieved his first career sack against the Patriots last weekend.

"I didn't know until somebody told me because when I took him to the ground, I looked to the left and I was trying to see where the stick was at," Robinson explained regarding his milestone sack. His performance included three tackles during 30 snaps against New England.

Robinson acknowledges that growth is ongoing: "It's really stacking week-by-week... As long as I get better each week, I'll be proud of myself." Head coach Gannon appreciates this development and noted that Robinson made significant plays in their recent games. "He's going to continue to learn every rep that he gets and figure it out even more and impact the game for us," Gannon commented.

Defensive coordinator Nick Rallis values these interactions with players like Robinson. "When you talk to players... it helps you as a coach because ultimately that's how you want to coach," Rallis stated.

Robinson aims to continue improving under the guidance of Gannon and Rallis while contributing significantly to his team’s efforts this season.
