Paradise Valley Unified District Superintendent Troy Bales (2023) | Paradise Valley Unified District
As the 2024-25 school year commences in Paradise, students have already settled into their classrooms, teachers and staff are well into their lesson plans, and parents are actively supporting their children's educational journey.
The district's strategic plan emphasizes the importance of a robust educational environment, with Goal 3 focusing on fostering relationships among students, staff, and families to maximize learners' potential. A key action step involves integrating student and staff voices in developing educational experiences. The "Student Voice" program allows the Governing Board to meet quarterly with high school students to discuss various issues. This initiative led to the creation of a new districtwide dress code that balances universal guidelines with individual preferences.
Paradise Valley Unified School District (PVUSD) offers a wide range of programs and curricula such as AVID, Core Knowledge, CREST, dual enrollment, International Baccalaureate, Mandarin and Spanish immersion, Project Search, PVOnline, CTE, fine arts, special education, and gifted education. These offerings aim to serve the diverse needs of learners and evolve as those needs change.
The district also prioritizes engaged educators; safe facilities; and a culture of trust, professionalism, collegiality, and compassion. These elements are crucial for maintaining a strong educational environment that meets the needs of diverse learners and inspires innovation and achievement.
