Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) is an inviting and inspiring place to be this fall. As you embark on this new chapter of your academic journey, here are a few tips to help you make the most of your time at PVCC.
1. Sign Up for Puma Pre-Advising: Don't forget to sign up for the mandatory Puma Pre-advising session. This short tutorial will help you understand the campus layout and set you on a successful path at PVCC.
2. Utilize Free Campus Resources: Take full advantage of the free resources available on campus. Buxton Library offers a wide range of free resources beyond just books, and PVCC’s Open Educational Resources (OER) can save you both time and money. Additionally, students can get free culture passes to many museums and attractions in and around Phoenix.
3. Get Involved: Be sure to attend Club Rush from August 28 to 31 to explore the variety of clubs offered on campus. This is a great opportunity to find your people. PVCC also boasts a chapter of the Honor Society Phi Theta Kappa, which you might consider joining.
4. Connect with Advising and Career Services: Don’t be shy about scheduling regular meetings with advising and career services. They are a valuable resource and can provide you with a wealth of information to help guide your academic and career paths.
Welcome to PVCC, and here's to a fantastic and fruitful fall semester!
