The first Phoenix Fire Station was built in 1894 and this bell was installed, but at over 1000 pounds, was too much for the structure so it was moved to City Hall. From 1894 to 1915 this bell called Phoenix volunteer firemen to protect lives and property. The bell is currently on display at the Phoenix Fire Department Administration building.
