This week, the City of Phoenix announced that they will be adjusting trash pickup days starting on Oct. 3. They have issued announcements through several channels to ensure that all residents are aware of the new policy.
Phoenix will change trash pick-up days for 80% of its trash on October 3, 2022. The quarterly bulk trash pickup schedule will remain the same, but only for garbage and organic waste pickup. You can find more information on the public works website of the City of Phoenix.
“So we’ve really taken some time to look at all of our routes to account for all the growth and really provide a more equitable workday for our operators,” Lorizelda Stoeller, deputy public works director for the city, told KTAR News 92.3 FM.
Phoenix Public Works also tweeted, "Hi everyone! A reminder that collection days will change starting on Monday, October 3. To find your new collection day please visit http://phoenix.gov/publicworks. Bulk pickup days will remain the same! Thank you for all that you do!"
