Sen. David Livingston gave his stamp of approval on not prohibiting indoor worshipping.

Livingston shared a tweet that said “worshippers don’t require SCOTUS to recognize this freedom. Clergy need to get off their Zoom butts and open places of worship so congregants can congregate to worship. At this point, clergy is to blame as much as the overreaching government.”

On Friday, the Supreme Court said that California can’t enforce an indoor worship ban, the Associated Press reported.

“Respondent is enjoined from enforcing the Blueprint’s Tier 1 prohibition on indoor worship services against the applicants pending disposition of the petition for a writ of certiorari,” the court ruled.

“The application is denied with respect to the percentage capacity limitations, and the respondent is not enjoined from imposing a 25% capacity limitation on indoor worship services in Tier 1,” the order read.

The order was released in response to Harvest Rock church, et al. versus Newsom, Gov. of California case.

The Supreme Court also ruled 6-3 stating California cannot totally bar indoor worship gatherings on the case of South Bay United Pentecostal Church, et al., V. Gavin Newsom, Governor of California, et Al.
