The 2020 NAIA PING All-America Teams were released this afternoon by the Golf Coaches Association of America, and four members of the OUAZ men's golf team were honored by the GCAA.
Noah Hofman and Alexandre Vandermoten were each named to the All-America First Team while Phil Williams was selected to the second team. Mason Domecq was named as an honorable mention All-American.
Hofman and Vandermoten are the first OUAZ players in program history to be named to the first team.
Hofman ended the season as the NAIA's No. 1-ranked golfer according to the Golf Stat rankings. In the seven events he played this season, Hofman recorded three outright medallist awards and he tied for the top spot on two other occasions. He averaged 70.05 strokes per round with 15 of his 20 rounds played being under par.
Vandermoten has five top-three finishes in seven events played and he was ranked fifth in the final NAIA Golf Stat rankings. Vandermoten played 12 of his 20 rounds under par and averaged 71.45 strokes per round.
Williams played in seven events and recorded five top-five results. His 72.42 stroke average was helped by nine of his 19 rounds being played under par. Williams was ranked 16th in the final NAIA Golf Stat rankings.
Domecq finished his season with a 73.45 stroke average and seven of 20 rounds under par.
This is the first NAIA PING All-America award for each of the OUAZ players. They join the 2019 third team honoree Carter Lewis as the program's only players named honored by the GCAA.
