Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari, who represents Arizona and won her seat in 2024 by defeating Jeff Zink with 70.9% of the vote, has recently shared updates on her community engagement and legislative oversight activities through social media posts.

On November 29, 2025, Ansari highlighted her visit to a local Indigenous-owned restaurant in Phoenix. She wrote, “Honored to spend time at The Fry Bread House, an Indigenous and Tohono O’odham-founded restaurant right here in Phoenix. The food is truly special, as every dish reflects culture and community. Proud to uplift Native-owned businesses today and every day. #SmallBusinessSaturday”.

The following evening, Ansari attended a holiday event in Guadalupe. On November 30, she posted: “A beautiful night in Guadalupe for the Light Parade and Annual Tree Lighting So special to kick off the holiday season with the Vice Mayor, council, and Pascua Yaqui tribal leaders and to feel the joy of this community all around.”

Later that same day, Ansari addressed recent developments from Congress regarding immigration enforcement oversight. She stated: “This week, @OversightDems launched the Immigration Enforcement Dashboard to expose misconduct and abuse under Trump and Kristi Noem’s dangerous assault on immigrants and U.S. citizens. Thank you Ranking Member @RepRobertGarcia & committee staff for leading this important effort.”

Ansari’s public service began after her victory over Jeff Zink in the 2024 general election with a significant margin of nearly 71% of the vote.
