The following day, on January 11, 2026, Ansari expressed gratitude to House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries for his stance supporting demonstrators in Iran. Later that same day, Ansari announced an upcoming appearance on CNN’s State of the Union with Jake Tapper to discuss concerns about U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). She stated, “I’ll be on soon with @jaketapper on @CNNSOTU to discuss ICE’s deadly overreach in the aftermath of the killing of Renee Nicole Good.”
