Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari has recently used her social media platform to address issues related to Iran’s political climate, U.S. immigration enforcement, and domestic political support for Iranian protesters.

On January 10, 2026, Ansari publicly addressed Elon Musk regarding the use of X (formerly Twitter) by Iranian leadership amid ongoing protests in Iran. She wrote, “.@elonmusk

As Iranians risk their lives protesting for freedom, the Supreme Leader of Iran uses X as a megaphone while his regime murders civilians and shuts down the internet.

The following day, on January 11, 2026, Ansari expressed gratitude to House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries for his stance supporting demonstrators in Iran. She posted, “Thank you House Democratic Leader @RepJeffries for standing with Iranian people protesting for their freedom. https://t.co/d4cy8Vb5s9”.

Later that same day, Ansari announced an upcoming appearance on CNN’s State of the Union with Jake Tapper to discuss concerns about U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). She stated, “I’ll be on soon with @jaketapper on @CNNSOTU to discuss ICE’s deadly overreach in the aftermath of the killing of Renee Nicole Good.”

Ansari represents her district after winning the 2024 general election against Jeff Zink with approximately 71% of the vote. This victory marked a significant margin in her electoral success.
