Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari, who represents her district after winning the 2024 general election against Jeff Zink with 70.9% of the vote, has posted a series of statements on social media addressing high-profile national issues.
On January 30, 2026, Ansari alleged that Pam Bondi is withholding critical information related to the Epstein case. She wrote, “Pam Bondi is still withholding 50% of the Epstein Files. She should be held in contempt for breaking the law. I once again join @OversightDems in demanding the DOJ release ALL files so we can hold pedophiles accountable, & finally bring justice to the abused women & girls.”
Later that evening, on January 31, 2026, Ansari criticized Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem. In her post she stated, “ICE is terrorizing our communities. Families are too afraid to worship, go to school, and leave their homes. That’s not public safety. It’s fear by design. Kristi Noem needs to be impeached. ICE’s slush fund must be eliminated.”
In a third statement posted early on January 31, Ansari made allegations concerning criminal activity within the highest levels of government: “Don’t look away. The president of the United States was involved in some horrifying, sickening crimes, as were many people in his inner circle and the current administration.”
Ansari secured her congressional seat following a decisive victory over Jeff Zink in 2024, obtaining more than two-thirds of the vote.
