Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari has recently addressed a range of issues on her official Twitter account, including military pay, public safety during severe weather, and concerns about healthcare access for Arizona families.
On October 9, 2025, Ansari directed a message to Speaker Johnson regarding stalled legislation affecting service members’ pay. She wrote, “.@SpeakerJohnson, this is someone from your own party telling you that her children will die if you don’t bring legislation to the floor that gets service-members paid. Is this enough of a call to action for you to bring @HouseGOP members back?”
The following day, October 10, Ansari alerted residents about potential hazards related to Hurricane Priscilla: “Hurricane Priscilla is bringing rain to the valley this weekend, but that means possible flash flooding too. Stay safe and pick up free sandbags at Phoenix parks, info here https://t.co/BlDY1ANMJ7”
Later on October 10, she commented on the ongoing debate over Medicaid and healthcare access in Arizona: “In Arizona, families like Jennifer’s depend on Medicaid for their children’s care. But Trump and Republicans are manufacturing a health care crisis that puts them at risk. Jennifer—and millions like her—are counting on us to fight back.”
Ansari represents Arizona in Congress after winning the 2024 general election against Jeff Zink with 70.9% of the vote compared to Zink’s 26.6%. Her recent statements reflect both immediate concerns—such as hurricane preparedness—and broader policy debates over military compensation and healthcare access.
