Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari has recently shared updates on federal funding and community engagement in her district through a series of posts on X, formerly known as Twitter. Ansari, who was elected to Congress in 2024 after defeating Jeff Zink with 70.9% of the vote, addressed topics ranging from infrastructure investment to constituent concerns and political criticism.
On February 4, 2026, Ansari announced new federal support for local infrastructure projects: “I was proud to join @Rep_Grijalva in announcing more than $2.1M in federal funding for @CityofTolleson. Although Trump and Republicans tried to cut investments like this one, these federal dollars will support critical infrastructure, public health, safety, and long-term growth.”
Later that day, she described recent conversations with constituents in South Phoenix: “From ICE, to a failing healthcare system, a lack of affordable housing, and the climate crisis, South Phoenix turned out and shared their stories with me this weekend. Our district is a community rich with personal stories and experiences from Black and Brown communities that”
In a post early on February 5, Ansari commented on national political controversy: “She was asking questions about child rape. JD Vance is a sociopath enabling the most egregious cover up in American history.”
Ansari’s remarks come amid her first term representing Arizona’s district after winning election by a significant margin over Jeff Zink in 2024.
