Warren Petersen, a Republican elected to the Arizona State Senate in 2023 representing the 14th Senate District, posted several messages on his Twitter account on October 9, 2025, addressing political developments and expressing gratitude to supporters and public figures.

In a post from October 9, 2025, Petersen thanked his supporters in Sun Lakes: “Awesome crowd in Sun Lakes tonight! Thanks for the invite. I appreciate your support!” In a subsequent tweet the same night, he expressed appreciation for former President Donald Trump: “Thank you @realDonaldTrump !”

On the morning of October 9, Petersen criticized Democratic Senators Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego, stating: “Senators Mark Kelly and Ruben Gallego are proving their allegiance to Chuck Schumer and radical liberals over everyday Arizonans. It’s time for Arizona Democrats to end this shutdown and put our interests first. This Schumer shutdown has gone on way too long!”

Petersen succeeded David Gowan as the representative for Arizona’s 14th Senate District after being elected in 2023.
