The University of Phoenix will host a webinar titled “Digital Burnout: Balance in a Hyperconnected World” on Thursday, October 16, at noon MDT. This event is part of the Bridging Perspectives series, which is organized by the Office of Collaborative Learning and Educational Engagement. The series targets higher education leaders, employers, nonprofit organizations, and members of the University of Phoenix community.

The webinar comes amid growing concerns about the effects of increased technology use. Many people report higher levels of digital fatigue, reduced focus, and a decline in overall well-being. The 2025 State of the Global Workplace report by Gallup notes that constant connectivity is linked to low engagement and increased burnout in the workplace.

“Digital wellness is an increasingly important part of how we manage our time, energy and focus,” said Saray Lopez, MBA, director of strategic initiatives for University of Phoenix. “This webinar invites participants to reflect on the effects of constant connectivity and explore practical strategies for restoring balance, focus and overall well-being.”

Dr. Danette Berksteiner from the University of Phoenix College of Social Science will lead the session. The webinar will provide practical strategies for setting digital boundaries and adopting sustainable wellness practices.

The Bridging Perspectives series aims to raise cultural awareness about current issues, promote thought leadership, and strengthen community partnerships.
