University of Phoenix and LinkedIn will co-host a free webinar titled “AI in Action: Skills and Strategies for a New Era of Nursing” on January 22, 2026. The event is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Pacific Time, 12 p.m. Arizona Time, and 2 p.m. Eastern Time. This live virtual session aims to help nurses and healthcare professionals understand the practical impact of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare settings.

The hour-long webinar comes as many nurses report uncertainty about AI technology. A national survey by McKinsey and the American Nurses Foundation found that 36% of the 7,200 nurse respondents listed “lack of knowledge on how to use AI-based technology and tools” among their top three concerns related to AI in healthcare. Organizers say this highlights the importance of developing skills in AI literacy and evaluation.

“Artificial intelligence is moving quickly from concept to day-to-day reality in healthcare,” said Raelene Brooks, Ph.D., RN, Dean of the College of Nursing at University of Phoenix. “This webinar is focused on practical skills, real examples, and the considerations nurses should keep in mind as AI tools influence both clinical and administrative workflows.”

The University of Phoenix offers higher education designed for working adults with more than 100 career-focused programs linked to over 300 professions, according to its official website. The institution has served students across the nation since its founding in 1976 and maintains its headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona. The university emphasizes flexible learning options—including online delivery—and works to address barriers faced by underserved communities (source). It holds accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission dating back to 1978 (source).
