The Phoenix Symphony announced on May 19 that it is seeking community support to reach a $250,000 fundraising goal before midnight on December 31. The organization said contributions will help continue its music programs and services.
This effort aims to sustain a range of initiatives, including performances, educational outreach, and hospice visits that use music as a source of comfort. According to the announcement, donations are tax-deductible and can have an immediate effect on the symphony’s ability to serve the community.
“Your support of The Phoenix Symphony helps ensure music continues to inspire our community — from unforgettable performances and music education programs to compassionate hospice bedside visits that bring comfort when words fall short,” the organization said in its statement.
The symphony encouraged supporters to make their gifts before December 31 so their impact can be counted toward this year’s goal. “Give before December 31 to make your impact count,” the statement said.
Additionally, The Phoenix Symphony notified patrons that its ticketing system would be unavailable from May 1 at 9:00 PM through May 2 at 6:00 AM due to scheduled maintenance. The organization apologized for any inconvenience caused by this temporary outage and thanked patrons for their patience.
