Student-athletes recognized at district ceremony for athletic achievements

Outstanding student-athletes and teams were recognized at the District Recognition Ceremony for their accomplishments during the athletic season, according to a May 27 announcement. The event celebrated students’ hard work, dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship across several schools in the district.

At Madison Meadows, multiple teams earned championship titles. Boys and Girls Varsity Cross Country teams were named VAC Boys & Girls Cross Country Champions. The Coed Varsity Cheer team received recognition as VAC Cheer Champions. The Girls Varsity Soccer team achieved both VAC Girls Soccer Champions and Scholar Athlete Team honors. Additional champions included Boys Varsity Volleyball (VAC Boys Volleyball Champions), Girls Varsity Track & Field (VAC Girls Track & Field Champions), Girls Varsity Softball (VAC 5A Softball Champions), Boys Varsity Baseball (VAC 5A Baseball Champions), and the Girls Varsity Track & Field 4×400 Relay team (VAC Track & Field 4×400 Girls Relay Champions).

Madison No. 1 was represented by its Coed Varsity Flag Football team, which was named VAC Flag Football Champions.

Madison Park also saw success with its athletic programs. The Boys Varsity Soccer team won the 4A Soccer Championship, while the Girls Varsity Soccer and Softball teams were recognized as 4A champions in their respective sports. Additionally, the Boys Varsity Track & Field team earned honors as Boys VAC Track 4×4 Relay Champions.

The district commended all athletes, coaches, and families for their commitment throughout the season. “Congratulations on these well-deserved honors, and thank you for representing our district with excellence and pride!”
