On January 26, 2025, Gallego reaffirmed his commitment to the people of Arizona by addressing concerns over rising prescription drug costs. He stated: "On the campaign trail, I promised to fight for hardworking Arizonans—and I meant it. That means stopping the administration’s plan to raise prescription drug costs just to hand billionaires another tax cut."

The following day, January 27, 2025, Gallego marked National Holocaust Remembrance Day with a solemn message honoring those who perished in the Holocaust. He emphasized the importance of vigilance against antisemitism: "Today on National Holocaust Remembrance Day we remember the atrocities of the Holocaust and honor the 6 million innocent lives lost.
