PVSchools is known for its prominent musical arts programs, producing talented performers who often achieve success during and after their time in the district. This month, Horizon High School's choir is in the spotlight. For nearly four decades, the choir has showcased its talents through notable programs like Broadway Under the Stars and Pop Show.

The choir's success extends beyond high school, with alumni such as Max Adler, known for his roles in "Glee," "Sully," and "The Flash," and Rachel Redleaf, who portrayed Mama Cass in "Once Upon A Time In Hollywood." Other alumni like Bria Williams, Logan Christensen, and Noelle Krugman are pursuing music careers at Berklee College of Music.

Noelle Krugman reflected on her time at Horizon: “Horizon had an incredible impact on my musical career. Being a part of the Horizon choir program not only helped me grow musically but also as a person.” She credits her experience with inspiring her ongoing musical journey.

Logan Christensen shared his greatest lesson as a performer: “The greatest lesson I learned as a performer was how to sing with support.” He also noted that PVSchools prepared him for Berklee by teaching discipline and self-motivation.

Bria Williams advised current students: “Don’t be afraid. Try out for everything and take risks because that is the only way you will grow.” She felt prepared for Berklee auditions due to similar experiences at PVSchools.

Each alumnus shared memorable moments from their performances. Bria recalled slips during rehearsals due to dancing on risers. Logan recounted falling during a run-through when his shoe clipped a riser. Noelle humorously remembered wearing bright blue mermaid flip flops instead of show shoes during a performance of "Willy Wonka."

Looking ahead, Noelle aspires to become a music teacher, saying: “Embracing the opportunity to work with children to introduce the power of music...is one of my biggest dreams.” Logan wants to create impactful music while helping others do the same. Bria aims to build a legacy through music that encourages others.
