Shadow Mountain High School's Digital Academy Advanced Placement Scholars (DAAPS) program is designed to exceed district and state curriculum requirements, offering a challenging academic environment for advanced students in grades 9 through 12. The school will host an information night on Wednesday, September 25 at 6:30 p.m. in the Shadow Mountain High School media center.

The event aims to provide insights into the Humanities-based program tailored for Honor, Gifted, and AP students. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from current students about their experiences in DAAPS as well as other programs offered at SMHS, such as NVAA and ROTC. Additionally, there will be discussions on the four-year progression of the program and details about the culminating DAAPSTONE (Capstone) Project.

For more information on DAAPS, interested parties are encouraged to contact Kevin Storey or visit the DAAPS website.

"Not only was it a genius way to apply skills from one class to another and build interdisciplinary connections, DAAPS made me feel like I belonged to something like I always had a community I could turn to," said a DAAPS graduate.
