The Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation has announced its 2025 Grants Program, offering $3 million to support local organizations focused on nutrition education, access, and wellness. The funding will benefit more than 500 nonprofits with grants up to $10,000 each.
“At Sprouts, our purpose is to help people live and eat better, and we’re proud to support the incredible work of local nonprofits who are doing just that,” said Jack Sinclair, CEO of Sprouts Farmers Market. “Through these grants, we’re able to support communities where our team members and customers live.”
The foundation aims to improve health outcomes through three grant categories: Sprouting School Gardens for school-based gardening programs; Growing Healthy Kids for community-based children’s nutrition programs; and Wellness Across the Lifespan for adult health initiatives.
“We know that small, local organizations are often the ones making the biggest difference,” said Lyndsey Waugh, executive director of the foundation. “These grants are about supporting the amazing work already happening on the ground–from school gardens and cooking classes to mobile pantries and family wellness programs. It’s about meeting communities where they are and helping them thrive.”
Last September, $4 million was awarded to 580 nonprofits and schools focused on nutrition and wellness. These grants were funded by donations collected at checkout through the in-store Round Up program.
Since its inception in 2015, the foundation has granted over $35 million to organizations working on nutrition education and wellness. Approximately 3 million children participate annually in programs supported by these funds. The foundation plans to expand its grant offerings significantly in the coming year.
Applications for this year’s grants are open until June 18, 2025. More information is available at Sprouts.com/foundation.
