Sprouts Farmers Market is set to open a new store in Lutz, Florida, on Friday, May 16. The store, located at 23046 State Road 54, will begin its operations with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6:45 a.m., followed by the opening of the doors at 7 a.m.
Pasco County Commissioner Seth Weightman expressed enthusiasm about the new addition to the community. “We’re delighted Sprouts Farmers Market chose Pasco County as its newest home,” he stated. “Their arrival brings both employment opportunities and greater access to healthy, fresh groceries for our residents. Businesses like Sprouts truly embody our community’s dedication to health, wellness, and economic vitality.”
The grand opening weekend from May 16 through May 18 will feature various activities for visitors. A “pop-up party” outside the store will offer guests opportunities to taste seasonal produce from a tasting bar and participate in contests such as guessing the weight of an oversized piece of produce.
Early shoppers will be rewarded during this weekend event. The first 200 customers on both Friday and Saturday will receive reusable goodie bags filled with products and samples. Additionally, the first 400 visitors on Friday will be given a free long-stem rose courtesy of Falcon Farms Floral. Inside the store, shoppers can explore new products from innovative brands at Vendor Village while enjoying giveaways and music throughout the weekend.
Customers can avail themselves of a special discount by texting LUTZ to 777-688 to receive 20% off their purchase over the grand opening weekend. This offer allows one redemption per Sprouts account per day with a maximum discount of $20. Further savings are available through Sprouts’ app with digital coupons offering more than $100 in savings each month.
Sprouts emphasizes its commitment to local communities by collaborating with Florida farmers such as Alderman Farms, Brooks Tropicals, and Duda Farm Fresh Foods for sourcing local produce. Through its Food Rescue program, Sprouts plans to donate groceries that are not fit for sale but still edible to Feeding Tampa Bay.
The new location will operate daily from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m., providing further information and gift card sign-ups via sprouts.com/lutz.
